No Strangness

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Last night, The Lady and I went out to watch my former band, Homeland, play.
At first I thought it was going to be really strange watching some other fiddle player on stage other than me.
But you know what…I was thoroughly entertained. It was, perhaps, one of the best shows that I have seen.
Mr. Tyler Moore kicked butt on the parts that I used to play. Plus added himeself into the mix with jazzy, bluesy ideas
that I never thought of putting in the  music.

I was a little tentative, too, knowing that Homeland has added a Piper/whistle player to their sound…
But, Larry was and is a very accomplished player and once he gets settled in, will be a great addition to the band.

All in all, The Lady and I were pleasantly surprise by the sound and show……
Rob and Jeremy played like pros. At one point, I thought Jeremy was going to hit those drums so hard, they would be flying
into the crowd….
And…I should also say, Scotty read the crowd with always putting the correct song into the right place in the show….

I miss Homeland (yes I do) but the changes that have been made this past year have just made everyone better…..
I love em and miss them, but I really feel this was the right thing to do…..

See yall'z later

Stangeness Occurs

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

why is it people have a need to carry words that are said to them…to
someone else?
yesterday, in speaking with an old friend i told them something that i
thought to be true….
no harm…no foul……

the next minute….i’m receiving an email from a second party stating
that they have never done that
and why am i spreading the word saying that they did…
wtf! i apologized to the second party, sincerely…as i have
stated…..i thought this to be true….
as a matter of fact….the second party is a huge business owner and
what business of it is mine to question what he does for his business?
frankly….how he choses to run his business is his own affair….he
has always been more than generous with me whenever i with him…….
so enough about that……

now….what has really set me off…is this need of the first party to
immediately run off and approach the second party……all of a
sudden….my credibility is shot…..right in the butt! why would
someone do that..i put alot of trust in the people i call
friends……and what i say, in a private conversation should be not
held as gospel…i don’t say things to exaggerate or to fabricate …..
i tell what i think to be true…..
no more….no less……

so…..i pretty much have said all that i want to say on this subject.
to those that read this and to this person that actually caused the
problem……
don’t stop by to chat with me again…….don’t ask me to do
favors……just move on and find another victim for your web……if the whole intent is
to run off and start trouble….

i’m done……..

DahFiddlah ….. signing off!
